“Give us the grace, when the sacredness of life before birth is attacked, to stand up and proclaim that no one ever has the authority to destroy unborn life.”
– John Paul II
SkyHawks for Life is a club that exists to promote the Gospel of Life on our campus. We are students and faculty that believe in the sanctity and dignity of every human being from conception to natural death.
We meet twice a month to discuss life issues and to plan our upcoming activities which include peacefully praying in front of the Planned Parenthood clinic on Maple Street, a pro-life prayer service to be held in January, and fundraising for our annual trip to Washington D.C. for the March for Life.
Since 2007 we have joined high school students from all around the Archdiocese of Omaha to attend the March For Life Rally in Washington D.C. when it happens. Our school has had the single largest representation from a high school in the Omaha Archdiocese on the pilgrimage for over five years. The pilgrimage provides a wonderful opportunity to join with people from all over the United States to pray and peacefully give witness to the dignity of all human life.
Even though our Archdiocese is not sponsoring a trip, they have supported us in our desire to go back again! We are excited to offer the March For Life pilgrimage. Please contact Deacon Zavaletta (bartzavaletta@skuttcatholic.com) or Christine French (christinefrench@skuttcatholic.com) for more information.
Reasons to March still:
Special thanks to SERRA Club of Omaha and the SERRA Club of West Omaha for their support of our 2023 March For Life pilgrimage; and for a private donor for covering all costs associated with taking two postolants (religious sisters in formation) to D.C. with us.
