With our busy lives, it can be difficult to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of sharing your time and talent are tremendous for you, your family and your community.
Volunteering is good for you! Helping others can counteract the effects of stress, anger, and anxiety – it actually makes you happy! It’s true! By measuring hormones and brain activity, researchers have discovered that being helpful to others delivers immense pleasure. Human beings are hard-wired to give to others. The more we give, the happier we feel!
