Don’t Worry. Be Happy. Live Longer.

With our busy lives, it can be difficult to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of sharing your time and talent are tremendous for you, your family and your community.

Volunteering is good for you!  Helping others can counteract the effects of stress, anger, and anxiety – it actually makes you happy! It’s true! By measuring hormones and brain activity, researchers have discovered that being helpful to others delivers immense pleasure. Human beings are hard-wired to give to others. The more we give, the happier we feel!

Skutt Catholic definitely wants to promote good health and well-being and, therefore, the school offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities. Check out the list of opportunities below!   We invite all SkyHawks to sign up – current parents, students, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents…  BE HAPPY! Lend a hand!

Skutt Catholic recognizes the important role grandparents play in our lives and especially the lives of our students. Keeping tuition affordable to families who wish to provide their children a Catholic education is the single greatest challenge we face. More than one third of Skutt Catholic families receive some form of financial assistance. HawkWalk is an opportunity for our students to do their part to contribute to our financial aid fund. By collecting sponsors and completing a 5 mile walk around Lake Zorinsky students are able to have fun while supporting this great event. Volunteers are needed to help set up, serve and clean up lunch that is grilled out for students as they return from the walk. Click here to volunteer.

Concessions +

Skutt Catholic High School offers concessions for the enjoyment of the Skutt Catholic Community as well as visiting athletes and their families.  Concessions is a self-supporting entity within the Skutt Catholic Community and works to support ALL Skutt Catholic athletics and activities.

Teams/activities/groups wishing to use concessions as a fundraising activity will have the opportunity to do so by signing up to work concessions events that are listed on the official concessions schedule and added to the on-line sign up.  Before sporting events will be added, teams participating in events that season are given the opportunity to work their own events. If a team chooses to work their own events, these will NOT be made available for on-line sign ups.

Any questions, comments or concerns should be sent to the lead concessions coordinator, Jane Fenner. The new sign-up form is not yet available. Please check back.

HawkNest +

Volunteers are needed to work in the HawkNest Clothing store. Click here to sign up to help in the HawkNest.
