Introducing Seth Hytrek

Students have been meeting our new faculty and our SkyHawk Spotlights will introduce our newest family members to the community. Today, we introduce Seth Hytrek.

SETH HYTREK – SCIENCE

Seth Hytrek is a new science teacher at Skutt Catholic. In this role, he will be teaching AP Biology and Honors Biology.

A FEW THINGS:

Seth was raised in Atkinson, NE. He attended St. Joseph Elementary School and graduated from West Holt High School in 2017.

He earned a degree in secondary science education from Wayne State University in 2022. It was there that he met his wife, Katie, who is currently a student at UNMC. They married on June 18, 2022.

Prior to joining Skutt Catholic, Seth taught at Ralston High School.

IN HIS OWN WORDS:

“I became a teacher to help build the next generation of STEM students.”

“This year, I am most excited to be returning to a Catholic school for the first time since I graduated 8th grade.”

FUN FACT:

Seth was the content creator for the Wayne State Natural History Museum in college.

He also got his open water scuba diving license in St. Lucia.
