Introducing Danielle Crotty
Students have been meeting our new faculty and our SkyHawk Spotlights will introduce our newest family members to the community. Today, we introduce Danielle Crotty ‘19.
DANIELLE CROTTY – LANGUAGE ARTS
Danielle Crotty is a new language arts teacher at Skutt Catholic. In this role, she will be teaching English 9 and World Literature.
A FEW THINGS:
Danielle Crotty was raised in Omaha and graduated from Skutt Catholic in 2019.
She said some of her favorite memories at Skutt Catholic were all of the early mornings and late nights doing extracurriculars. Crotty shared that Campus Ministry planned lots of fun activities that were another highlight of her experience.
“Participating in those programs helped me meet all of my friends!”
She earned a B.A. in secondary education English from the University of Nebraska – Omaha. Prior to joining Skutt Catholic, Danielle was a student-teacher at Benson High School.
IN HER OWN WORDS:
“I became a teacher because I have always loved being in a school environment and I love meeting lots of people from all different walks of life.”
“I am looking forward to creating and sustaining relationships with students all throughout their high school years.”
FUN FACT:
Danielle is a newlywed! She married Mount Michael alumnus James Crotty this summer. She met four of her bridesmaids during her time at Skutt Catholic – Christina Davis ‘19, Agota Mihalffy (foreign exchange student from Budapest), Maria Lasala ‘19, and Selena Thompson ‘19.
