Trivia Night 2023 Kicks Off Financial Assistance Month

On April 1, more than 300 people participated in Skutt Catholic’s Trivia Night fundraiser to kick off Financial Assistance Month (FAM), focusing our entire community on this area of need and raising more than $20,000. This year, 44 Skutt Catholic alumni joined the fun at Trivia Night, including some from our first graduating class of 1996.

Trivia categories included Bon Appétit, Hammer the Grammar, Derby Mania, and Guitar Hero. Following eight rounds with 10 questions each, the winning team was Weather or Not. They received $500 and the coveted traveling Trivia Night trophy. Theme winners, The Potholes, won a $100 prize and Mark Vacek was the winner of the Heads or Tails game with a $250 prize. Raffle prizes included items such as a Fire TV, Family Zoo Pass, Outdoor Movie Theater Package and many more!

Matt Vrzal (assistant SC football coach and owner of Piezon’s Pizza) served as the event emcee. Dinner was included and catered by Eddie’s Catering.

Other FAM events thus far have included Dine Out for SC events at Scooter’s (April 3), Piezon’s (April 5), and Runza (April 12). Additional Dine Out for SC events are coming up: Chipotle (this Wednesday, April 19) and Raising Cane’s (Wednesday, April 26). FAM will conclude with Skutt Catholic’s annual HawkWalk event on April 26.
