Trivia Night Kicks Off Financial Aid Awareness Month

On Saturday, April 6 more than 350 people turned out for Skutt Catholic’s Trivia Night fundraiser to support tuition assistance, benefiting one in three of the school’s 732 students.  Attendance was nearly doubled from 200 participants at the 2018 event.

Hosted by Skutt Catholic and the SkyHawk Association trivia categories ranged from nursery rhymes and “name that tune” to more traditional topics, such as art, science, and famous acronyms.

Following eight rounds with 10 questions each, two teams tied for the win — a team of current parents, Get Wiggy With It,  and team of alumni, Coyote Crew.

Mark Narke (current parent) and Tim Bloomingdale (SC director of admissions) served as event emcees.  Dinner was included and catered by Eddie’s Catering.

April = Financial Aid Awareness Month

Trivia Night helped kick off the school’s month-long fundraising efforts to support financial aid.  Other events include food nights at Raising Cane’s (April 1), and Chipotle – S. 177th Street location (April 8); a shopping night at Evereve – Regency (April 25) and Skutt Catholic’s annual HawkWalk event on April 24.

For HawkWalk, students collect sponsorships for a five-mile hike around the eastern part of Lake Zorinsky to raise money for our financial aid.  Make a donation to HawkWalk online through SkuttCatholic.com. Contact Angie Lohaus at angielohaus@skuttcatholic.com for additional information.
