Introducing Mandi Marcuccio

Students have been meeting our new faculty and our SkyHawk Spotlights will introduce our newest family members to the community. Today, we introduce Mandi Marcuccio.

MANDI MARCUCCIO – LANGUAGE ARTS

Mandi Marcuccio is a new language arts teacher at Skutt Catholic. In this role, she will be teaching American Literature, World Literature, and AP Language and Composition.

A FEW THINGS:

Born and raised in Omaha, Mandi is a 2000 graduate of Ralston High School.

She earned a B.A. in English from Creighton University in 2004 and an M.A. in English from the University of Nebraska – Omaha in 2006. Returning to Creighton University, Mandi earned an M.Ed. in secondary education in 2008 and an M.S. in educational administration and leadership in 2018.

Mandi previously taught at Mercy High School and Bennington High School.

IN HER OWN WORDS:

“A long time ago, I read a quote: ‘Be the person you needed when you were younger.’ I was blessed with some exceptional high school teachers and college professors who helped me not only to become the person I am today, but who also supported and cared for me. I always wanted to pay it forward.”

FUN FACT:

“My favorite saint is St. Francis of Assisi. He was Italian (just like me) and he is the patron saint of animals.I am an animal lover! I have visited Assisi, Italy three times, and I was fascinated by his life. I also love this quote attributed to him: ‘Start by doing what is necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.’
