HawkWalk 2022 Broke the Thermometer

Thanks to the generous support of our entire community, HawkWalk 2022 exceeded the goal of raising $50,000. By the time students arrived on campus for the original event (scheduled for April 20), the thermometer in the lobby was completely filled. Following the rescheduled April 27 HawkWalk, $70,000 was raised to support the Skutt Catholic financial assistance fund.

HawkWalk is an all-school event. Each year, the 700+ SkyHawks, along with faculty, staff and volunteers, flock to nearby Lake Zorinsky for a four-mile trek around the lake, obtaining sponsorships and donations for their goal of supporting their fellow students. This event brings the entire community together in support of FAM (Financial Assistance Month).

GIVEBUTTER
For the second year in a row, donations were gathered through online platform called Givebutter. Students were invited to set themselves up as team members, under their individual grade level team. The goal was to encourage greater student involvement and offer more online options for giving. Givebutter accepts Venmo, PayPal and Digital Wallet, in addition to credit cards or the option of mailing in donations.
