Be the Difference!

Skutt Catholic Community,

As an educational institution, we know we must be Christian leaders who oppose violence against the Black community, educate our students on systemic injustice, racism, and social inequalities.  We must continue to increase our educational opportunities and curriculum to help our students understand that racism is a sin and it is not tolerated.

As Pope Francis said, “My friends, we cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye to racism and exclusion in any form and yet claim to defend the sacredness of every human life.”

As a Skutt Catholic community, we must be willing to promote justice in a positive way and stand for what is right.  We must, Listen – Learn – Love – Lead.  This is what we are called to do each and every day, and we must do it now more than ever.  We must initiate change by our actions and our words through positive Christian leadership.  Black lives matter.

We pray for all those suffering during this time. May the love and peace of Jesus Christ be with them always.
