ALUMNUS OF THE YEAR 2024: MATT KELLER ’11
Skutt Catholic is honored to announce Matt Keller as the recipient of the 2023-2024 Alumnus of the Year award at the Light of Leadership Mass on May 9. This year marked the first time the Outstanding Alumni Award was presented at the Mass, allowing our current students to witness firsthand the impact of a graduate who once walked the same halls and has become an inspiration to us all. Matt was joined at the ceremony by his wife, Katie, their four children, and his parents, Daniel and Joyce Keller.
Matt exemplifies the SkyHawk spirit in both his personal and professional life. As a Senior Software Engineer at Indeed and the Co-Founder of the ArchOmaha Catholic Young Adults group, he is making a significant difference in the lives of others.
Recognizing the need for support among young Catholics seeking faith, fellowship, and friendship in a challenging time, Matt co-founded the ArchOmaha Catholic Young Adults group. Through Bible studies, Eucharistic adoration, sports, service opportunities, and more, the group fosters a vibrant community where young adults can connect with their faith and each other. Matt is also a devoted husband and father, placing his trust in Christ to guide him in every aspect of his life. His dedication to family, friends, and his faith makes him a true role model, leaving a positive impact on his community and the world.
Matt’s service extends beyond the archdiocesan group, actively giving back to his own parish, St. Stephen the Martyr. He and his wife, Katie, have built fellowship opportunities for other families and young adults within the parish. As a Skutt Catholic alumnus, Matt has returned to speak at retreats and, along with his wife, presented on the vocation of marriage. He is also a proud father of four young children.
