Dr. Kristen Deane joined the school counseling staff in 2022-2023 after teaching English at Skutt Catholic for eight years. She has a Master of Teaching and Doctor of Education from the College of Saint Mary and is currently working toward a Master of Counseling from Creighton University. She is the proud parent of a Skutt Catholic student and an alumna.

Ali Cox brings two years of experience as a school counselor at St. James/Seton and five years of teaching 4th grade at St. Robert’s. A proud Skutt Catholic alumna and current Assistant Volleyball Coach, Ms. Cox holds a Master of Science in School Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her dedication and passion for student growth make her a perfect addition to our team.

Mark Williams joins Skutt Catholic with 22 years of experience at Fremont High School, including a decade as the Counseling Director and many years as the Head Boys Basketball Coach. He holds a Master of Secondary School Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. His background in teaching history and physical education further enriches his ability to support our students.

Mr. Schumacher has been a school counselor at Skutt Catholic since 2002. He has Master’s degrees in School Administration and Secondary Counseling from Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Omaha, respectively. He served 4.5 years in the U.S. Air Force and is the parent of three Skutt Catholic alumni.
Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Hajek has been the administrative assistant in the school counseling department at Skutt Catholic since 2011. She previously taught full time in Sacramento, CA, and Mainz, Germany, and substitute taught in the many locations her husband’s Army career has taken her. She has over 30 years of experience in education and is the parent of a Skutt Catholic alumnus.
On-Site Therapist
Skutt Catholic partners with Catholic Charities to provide onsite behavioral health services. Mrs. Jasi Curtis, PLMHP, PCMSW, works as a therapist in Catholic Charities’ School Mental Health program providing on-site school-based mental health services to students beyond what a school counselor would provide. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Northwestern College and a Master of Social Work from UNO. Appointments are required and coordinated by school counselors.
