Introducing Julie Kerkman
It’s back to school for the SkyHawks this week. Returning students will be meeting our new faculty and our SkyHawk Spotlights will introduce our newest family members to the community. Today, we introduce Julie Kerkman.
JULIE KERKMAN – ENGLISH
Julie Kerkman is a new English teacher at Skutt Catholic. In this role, she will be teaching Freshman English and World Studies.
A FEW THINGS:
Julie graduated from Millard South High School.
She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, an M.S. in instructional technology from Peru State College, and an Ed.D from the College of St. Mary in educational leadership.
Julie previously taught in Millard Public Schools.
IN HER OWN WORDS:
“I became an English teacher because I wanted to make English a fun subject for students.”
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the students and being a part of the Skutt Catholic community.”
FUN FACT:
Julie is a University of Kansas fan and cheered the Jayhawks on to victory at the NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship game in New Orleans this year.
